Wine & Wicked!

Days out in London are my all time favourite thing ever... I've been loads of times, but I always seem to find things I want to do all the time and always have the best days there. This week I visited Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park and that was amazing, and also had such a fun day out yesterday as well.

So yesterday's adventures started with me and two of my university friends Megan and Izzie travelling to central London. You know when you plan a day and it just all seems to go really well? It was one of those ones. I was really worried because I had suggested the places that we ended up going to myself, and would feel solely responsible if we didn't enjoy ourselves... but luckily we did.

First we travelled to Tower Hill/Monument area where our first booked destination was- the Sky Garden. Many people I know have been here, and I've always wanted to go. However, the tickets always seem to be booked, maybe because the access is free (they make up for this in expensive prices at the bar!), but luckily a few tickets were available that we managed to grab.

35 floors up in a very fast lift and you reach the Sky Garden...

Isn't it gorgeous? we had an amazing time in there, it was a one hour time slot so we wandered around and drank a very pricey bottle of prosecco overlooking a great view. For anyone who knows me well, they will know this is my idea of a perfect day, Below are some more photo's of our time in there.

Uni room & settling in!

Having been at Brunel Uni for just over 9 weeks, I can safely say I am settled in and loving life living on my own. I've decided to write this post sharing with you some photographs of my room to give an insight to anyone wondering what university life is like, or if you're just nosy I guess. 😉

I am a first year student at Brunel University and currently living in halls. To my surprise I am actually loving it a lot more than I expected, and really enjoy my own independence. Although 9 times out of 10 my room is not as tidy as pictured...

Upon entering my room this is what you see, on the left I have my favourite coat hanging, with my Ted Baker handbag. Next to it is my dressing gown which I only tend to use for fire alarms that go off at ridiculous times in the morning. (Ironically about an hour after I wrote this post the fire alarm went off, AT 2AM!?)  Below I have my flip flops and Nike sliders which I use for the kitchen. My en suite bathroom is situated on the right of the photo.

My Verdict- Married At First Sight

Never would I have thought that I'd be so invested in a TV programme that I would feel the need to write a blog post on it... but here we are!

'Married at First Sight'- the name of the show that I've been hooked on for well over a year now. There have only been two series so far (the first ones of many I hope) and I was wrong to think that nothing could top the last series, so kudos to Channel 4. Now if you're planning to watch the show, don't read on because there may be a few spoilers!

10 Best Beauty Buys of 2016

Back again! 👋

As we are half way through the penultimate month of the year, I decided to write today's post reflecting on my top 10 beauty products purchased and used throughout 2016. I went with my top 10 products rather than my top 20 (my original idea) as I thought this would give you a more concise and clear view of the products that I have really been loving! I will make sure to link all the products so you can check them out.

So we decided to take a day trip to London, after several failed attempts of trying to wake up we finally got on the tube and made our way to Knightsbridge to our first stop, Harrods!
