10 Best Beauty Buys of 2016

Back again! 👋

As we are half way through the penultimate month of the year, I decided to write today's post reflecting on my top 10 beauty products purchased and used throughout 2016. I went with my top 10 products rather than my top 20 (my original idea) as I thought this would give you a more concise and clear view of the products that I have really been loving! I will make sure to link all the products so you can check them out.

These products are in no particular order, they've all been huge loves of mine within the recent months, and here is why...

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water-

If you have tried this product you will know that you simply cannot live without it. The perfect makeup remover that allows your makeup to simply 'glide' off your skin. Affordable, doesn't sting your eyes like many do, and an all around amazing product that I have purchased many times.

Vita Liberata 2-3 Week Mousse Tan- Medium-

For all fake tan lovers out there, this is the one! I'm not an avid user of fake tan, but decided to invest in a luxury tan for the odd occasion such as a nice night out or a wedding. The bottle claims it lasts 2-3 weeks, I wouldn't say it lasts any longer than 2 weeks but it is just 'phenomenal'! It is not streaky and not orange at all, but the perfect golden colour. I'd recommend buying when Boots have it on '1/3 off' bringing the hefty price tag down a lot.

Batiste Original Dry Shampoo-

An absolute must in my hair products, for those days when you're caught off guard with a spot of greasy hair and you need a quick fix. Repurchased numerous times, ideal product.

Inglot Sparkling Dust- Shade 01-

The picture shows the back of the highlighter, the front is just a black lid saying INGLOT.
My most used highlighter of the year, I cannot even remember where or when I purchased this, I just know that I've used it a lot! Doubles up as an inner corner highlight, this product is pigmented and just gorgeous especially when it catches the light.

Lady Million by Paco Rabanne EDP 50ml-

My all time favourite scent, hard to describe but you must go and give it a smell. This was gifted to me before I went to university but I have purchased this before. Such a sweet scent, so for those who like that sort of thing I'm sure you will like this.

L'oreal Infallible Primer-

I've recently re-discovered this, an old love of mine. L'oreal primers are brill! This primer is perfect for me as I have a tendency to get oily skin and it really helps 'mattify' the skin and smooth out my pores.

Kylie Jenner Lip Kit in Posie K-

As much as I HATE to write this, this is one of my most used products by far. It is my go to for every night out and even sometimes days out. The formula is impeccable, once you put it on it really doesn't shift for hours and no marks left when you drink from glasses either. I hate to say it's good, purely because I think that the products are ridiculously priced, and then you have to pay an extortionate amount for shipping and customs. I probably won't purchase any more but a faultless product nevertheless. (Lower your prices Kylie!)

L'oreal Nail Varnish-

Perfect range of nail polishes bought out by L'oreal that are just £5 a bottle. Never seem to chip and a perfect colour range. If anyone hasn't tried these they must!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Desert Beige-

I will buy this foundation for the rest of my life, or until I find a better one! Love this foundation, such high coverage and not cakey at all. It is a small bottle that is pricey, but a little goes a long way. This is near the top of my list as such an amazing product that I have tried and re-bought countless times.

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams-

These lip creams are amazing, something that I have discovered this year and will keep buying probably until I have the whole collection. They last well and there is an amazing colour range in the collection. From left to right in the picture attached the shades are: Stockholm, Cannes, Milan, Prague and Rome. Out of the five I own, I would say I wear Cannes the most as it is such an everyday shade. I cannot wait to buy more from the collection.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my top 10 favourite beauty products of the year. Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know of products you couldn't live without!
