Collective Beauty Haul!!

Hello all,

Back again with another blog post but much later than I expected to! I've been meaning to upload this post for quite some days now, and the whole faff of moving back home for the Easter holidays has delayed the process slightly.

I am aiming to get back into my blogging routine with weekly blog posts that will go live in the afternoon every Wednesday. You can find the link for it on any of my social media pages or come directly to this site...

From late January to recently I have made many fun and exciting beauty purchases. This post has been on my to-do list for quite some while now- but a perk of me doing it late is that I can give you my impressions of the products!

Here's what I've been spending my money on recently...

After attending the Pixi Event in late January (see blog post here), I was inspired to purchase this. Caroline Hirons really knows her stuff when it comes to skincare, so I totally believe in this product. As for Pixi, their products are simply wonderful. An all around good pot which gives you not one facial cleanse, but two!

I purchased this again, in January on a bit of a whim, after hearing it was a very high coverage foundation (which is what I truly desire). I thought my Estee Lauder Double Wear was a full coverage product, but this is 10 times thicker. After using this several times I have found that this is better applied with a brush than a BeautyBlender, and whilst it dries quickly, it has amazing staying power!

Benefit- They're Real Big Sexy Lip Kit

Benefit's release of their 'double the' product range was something that really caught my eye, as I hadn't quite seen anything like it before. I spotted this lip kit in Boots which featured 4 miniature versions of their double the lip products for only £25 (this was a limited edition set). Considering that they retail for £16.50 singularly for a full size product I figured this was a good way of trying them out. I really haven't used these as much as I was expecting to, but will incorporate them into my daily makeup more.

Until I found the BeautyBlender, these sponges were my ride or die. Now I have a BeautyBlender I still haven't used these two and they are still in their packet, but for someone on a smaller budget, or someone who finds the £16 price point for a sponge unjustifiable, these sponges are fabulous. Don't worry- I will definitely get my use out of them.

I really wanted a liquid illuminator for a long time, and I love this one by No7. I've been using it quite often and love mixing it with foundation or applying it on top for a healthy sheen and glow to the skin.

My search for a good drugstore foundation led me to buying this product. The likes of FleurDeForce and Zoella mentioned this as being one of their favourites. Due to being sold out in lots of shades, I chose the shade Ivory which would usually be too light for me. But seeing as it is quite a low coverage foundation I can surprisingly make it work. I really do like this foundation for "no makeup makeup days". It is easy to build up as well. A good product for a really good price.

I only bought one of these masks as I was not sure how I felt about the whole sheet mask craze. I did really enjoy this mask and found it very hydrating. However, I felt like it was too messy and difficult to apply. It just was a bit of a faff.

A repurchase. I have talked loads of times about how much I love this foundation. Despite it being expensive I will always go back to it!

Another repurchase because I was out of my last bottle. I always feel apprehensive about whether setting spray actually works, but I buy it anyway.

Rimmel- Wake Me Up Concealer- Ivory-£5.49

I feel let down by the hype over this product. I purchased the lightest shade thinking I would be able to use it under my eyes. Maybe I picked the wrong shade but I feel like the lightest shade still wasn't light and brightening enough to make as good an impact as the other concealers I use. Nevertheless I still put it to use, but wouldn't repurchase!

This is one of my favourite NYX formulas, they stay on flawlessly! This shade is in Tea and Cookies, not sure how I feel about it yet, but I will give it more of a try.

    Seventeen- Wow! Concealer- Fair- £4.99

This Seventeen concealer looks just like a dupe of the YSL Touche Eclat, but at a fraction of the price. I really like this concealer, it is not my go to product of choice, but I enjoy having it in my collection!

I bought this product on a whim- again, due to there being a 3 for 2 promotion at the time, and I made a good choice because I absolutely love it! It is so volumising on the lashes and I like the added 2nd part to add fibres on to the lashes, making them longer and stand out! I am a massive fan on L'oreal Mascaras, and the latest addition to their mascara family didn't let me down!

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Base Primer- £7.99

I have used this primer for a while now, and now it perfectly compliments their new foundation recently launched. This is a silicone based primer, which personally I love for its smoothing and mattifying qualities.

    Benefit- Hoola Bronzer- £9.95

This is a miniature of the Hoola Bronzer which I purchased from Boots for £9.95 on my advantage card points as I had some on my card! I've always wanted to try Hoola and I love the miniatures that they make as it works out so much better to try the product for a smaller price before you plunge and buy the bigger product! I'd definitely repurchase Hoola as it suits my skin tone perfectly.

    The Original BeautyBlender- £16

I always told myself I would never purchase an original Beauty Blender sponge due to the almost unjustifiable price of them. Fortunately they now sell the sponges at Boots, so I was able to justify purchasing this on my Boots card, as then I wouldn't actually be paying any real money for it. This sponge is amazing for applying foundation and I love it more than any other sponge I own. But for the sake of the price, I probably wouldn't repurchase unless I either had money to burn, or more Boots points!!

    Duo Lash Adhesive- £5.99

This is my favourite adhesive for false eyelashes, which unfortunately I had to buy as I have seemingly misplaced my other (almost full) tube of it. Annoying.

Love Me Beauty- Subscription Package- February- £8 per month

I have signed up for an amazing monthly subscription company called Love Me Beauty. I pay £8 a month plus some money for shipping and the site gives you credits to choose miniatures of usually higher end products to try out. In February's edit I chose the Nuxe Oil, Makeup Forever HD Powder, a Kat Von D Lipstick and my favourite Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper.

Collection- Lasting Perfection Concealer - Shade- Fair- £4.19
Collection- Velvet Kiss Moisturising Lip Cream - Shade- Caramel- £2.99

Everyone and their mother has tried this concealer, and I am truly in love with it. So much that I thought I would purchase two so I could get this velvet lip cream for free due to the promotion at the time. This is one of my go-to lip products recently and really rivals the formula and longevity of my tried and true Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams. Next on my list to buy is the concealer but in a darker shade to use on my face.

For the past couple of years I have been on the continuous search to find the perfect pen style liquid eyeliner. I enjoyed using Collection's for a while, and dabbled into some of L'Oreal's, but when I tried Kat Von D's tattoo liner I was sold. Luckily I haven't had to repurchase this yet and I have had it for the best part of 2 and a half months. Anyone in search of a great liquid liner which makes it easy to draw a flick, I would suggest to try this!

I much anticipated the release of this foundation and was not let down by its quality when I managed to get my hands on it. I could ramble on and on about why I love this foundation, but instead I will link you to my blog post in which I reviewed it- here!

Love Me Beauty- Subscription Package- March

My second month subscribed to Love Me Beauty did not let me down and I am so glad I found them! I really liked the EcoTools travel brush set that I chose from this months edit. They never fail to let their customers down with the cute and quirky makeup bags that they send out. Absolutely love!

    NYX- Liquid Suede- Sandstorm- £6.50

I have never been into nude shades and have never believed that they suited me. But upon trying this shade out I have been so impressed with the formulation and the colour of this product that you can purchase for such an affordable price. I love NYX for their affordability and this shade Sandstorm is simply stunning.

No7- Gel Finish Nail Colour- Pink Mocha- £7.00

This muted pink/mauve shade is gorgeous and definitely my kind of shade and I've really enjoyed wearing it recently.

This product has amazing reviews, and after being recommended it by my friend Colette, I decided to purchase it. I took her advice and decanted it into an empty spritz bottle and apply this to my face every so often before makeup or before I sleep. I find that it has amazing effects giving your skin such a healthy glow. And I simply cannot believe it's so cheap! I love the old fashioned bottle it comes in!

Morphe Brushes- M322 Crease Brush and M321 Bullet Crease Brush- £3.00 & £3.50

I have always wanted to try Morphe Brushes so decided to buy a couple to start with. I'm really impressed with their quality and ability to apply makeup seamlessly and will definitely be repurchasing more.

This popular powder has grasped everyone's attention hence the reason it is always sold out on BeautyBay. However when I saw it arrive back on their website I was very quick to 'checkout' my order. I love how soft and finely milled this powder is, it doesn't leave any white marks over the face and is perfect for baking. I am really not a fan of the lid and this is something that puts me off using it and turning to my Laura Mercier powder. Love the product, hate the packaging. But would 100% recommend.

Coconut Lane- Blair Waldorf Wall Art- £6  & Stay Classy Cushion - £18

Something not essentially beauty but I had to throw in because they are bloody beautiful! I know you must be fed up of hearing me talk about Coconut Lane but I simply love being able to work with them and provide a discount code for you guys to get money off their stunning wide range of products. I LOVE gossip girl so I'm all about this wall art. Their products make for amazing bedrooms and stunning props for your photos! They really do sass up your life! If you are interested in their products just go have a browse on their website https://coconut-lane.com and if anything catches your eye you can get 20% off with my code 'hollszz20'

If you made it to the end of my post good on you!
