Blogmas Day 4- American Makeup Haul!

Welcome to Blogmas Day 4!

If you didn't know, I went to New York at the beginning of November. My blog post detailing my trip with lots of photos has already been published, and you can read that here.

I bought a fair amount of makeup when I was away. My main priority in New York was to make sure I spent money on sightseeing and making the most of the city. However I did spend some money on makeup to bring home. I didn't go overboard and could've arrived in England with a lot more. Nevertheless I am happy with what I got. I was in awe of Sephora, there's no shop like it in England which is dedicated solely to all different ranges of beauty products, so I was in my element. Not only did I go to Sephora but also to Ulta! On top of this I picked up a few bits from different drugstores.  I loved every minute and wish I was back in the gorgeous city staring at more makeup than even I could ever dream of!

Here is the makeup I bought in America...

SEPHORA:

Huda Beauty Rose Gold Edition Eyeshadow Palette- $65

When I first got to New York, I didn't really have this on my list of things to buy. Then over the days I grew a bit of an interest in the Desert Dusk palette by Huda Beauty because it was being advertised everywhere. However, when I tried to get my hands on it, I had absolutely no luck! However, when I looked at the tester of the Desert Dusk next to the Rose Gold palette, I had a change of heart. Even more invitingly, Sephora were having 15% off on the specific day I bought this, making the purchase slightly less painful.

Sephora Avocado Face Mask and Green Tea Face Mask- $6 each

Recently I have really gotten into face masks and wanted to see what the hype over these was all about. I could have been so tempted to pick up more, but I stuck to two.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Single- Burnt Orange- $12

My all time favourite eyeshadow palette in the world is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette, and my all time favourite eyeshadow shade in this palette is Burnt Orange. I've been using this shade so much that I have almost completely run out of it. I knew that if I ran out of this shade entirely, I would probably stop using the palette, which would be a complete waste! This was rather pricey for a single eyeshadow, but it is something I know for a fact I will use and therefore is justifiable. Even though there are other oranges in eyeshadow palettes, none match up to this one.

Huda Beauty Liquid Lipstick- Bombshell- $20

The formula of these is to die for and I am so happy I finally got my hands on the Huda Beauty Liquid Lipstick in the shade Bombshell. I was torn between this shade and Venus so maybe that will be my next purchase!

Moroccanoil Treatment- $15

I had a sample of Moroccanoil a few years ago when I used to go to a certain hairdressers. Ever since that sample, I have wanted to buy it for myself. It is so expensive to buy a big size of this, so when I saw this smaller one at the checkout for $15 I had to buy it. A little bit goes a long way, so with any luck this will last me a while. I have tried many other hair oils but nothing compares to this one!

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner- $20

This is simply a repurchase, but one I cannot live without!

ULTA:

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer- Fair- $27

This was one of the main items I wanted to buy when I went to New York. I was so excited to get this. I decided to get the lightest shade which after buying, I instantly regretted. However, I was wrong and I am so happy with the shade I picked. I get such bad dark circles under my eyes and they need lightening. I do love this concealer a lot, but I need to use it more to see if it's worth the price tag.

MAC Prep + Prime Fix + Sized To Go- $12

Yes, I essentially spent $12 for a bottle of water. But I have wanted to try out MAC Fix + for such a long time and this smaller version attracted me at the till point where they put all the miniature beauty items. I don't know what it is, but I just have a massive obsession with mini's. They're just so cute and so much more interesting than the full-sized products. In my bedroom at home I have a drawer designated for miniature products. So I had to give this a try.

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer- $14.99

Drugstore-wise, this is another product I was dying to buy when I visited America. I'd heard Tati from Youtube rave about it and wanted to try it myself. I just absolutely adore the packaging. It smells so nice and is such a lovely shade for my skintone. I don't regret buying this!

Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Highlight and Contour Palette- $14.99

At Ulta Physicians Formula was on 'buy one get second half price' so I decided to buy this as well. I've not had a chance to try this yet, but I am excited to have a go at using it!

Yes To- Charcoal Tomato Paper Mask & Calming Cucumber Paper Mask- $3.29 each

When I bought these, they were actually on a really good deal, and I always find them quite pricey to purchase in England. Face masks are my favourite type of skin care at the moment so I am excited to try these!

WALGREENS:

Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder- $7.99

Having heard so much about this on Youtube over the years, I had to see what the hype was about! I have been using this and loving it ever since I returned from New York.

CVS:

LA Girl Pro Conceal- $3.99

The shade Porcelain is what I chose in this concealer, and it is perfect! I love my concealers light and brightening, and although this isn't as bright as the Tarte Shape Tape it is still a really good formula. For $3.99 you cannot go wrong!

DUTY-FREE:

MAC Lipstick- Twig-

I had an ever so small amount of money left when I was at the airport in New York, but I decided to spend the remainder on food and a MAC listpick. I chose the shade Twig, which was to me, a perfect shade for this time of year. I absolutely adore MAC lipsticks and would love to have more. This was cheap-ish as it was in duty-free, but I cannot remember the exact price!

If I was in New York for longer, I definitely would've purchased a lot more, but it's probably good for my bank card that I came home when I did!
